Terry Lynn Smith can create true to life commissioned oil painted portraits. Traditional true to life portraits can be created depicting one or two people and in a variety of different sizes. Portraits are created in oil and take about 24 hours to dry before the next layer can be applied. A detailed portrait takes about 4 layers. Approximate time for completion of a portrait is 2-4 weeks, depending on artist's workload. Paintings are created from photographs so no sitting time is required, unless photos are not available. Prices for commissioned portraits vary according to size, complexity of the work, and number of people/pets in your painting. One half of the fee is due prior to starting the painting as a non-refundable deposit. These portraits are modern original oil paintings on canvas.
